Assam: One killed, another injured after being attacked by unidentified miscreants in Baksa

Guwahati, 24th April: In a shocking incident, one individual has lost their life while another sustained severe injuries in a fatal attack by unidentified assailants in Assam’s Baksa district.

The incident took place in Pakhamara village located under the jurisdiction of Barbari police station.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Ramani Baishya, son of Dilip Baishya.

As per sources, Baishya was allegedly stabbed to death with a sharp weapon by unidentified assailants.

Another individual named Rakesh Lahari aged 22 and son of Khamene Lahari, sustained severe injuries during the attack.

However, the motive behind the horrific crime is yet to be known.

Following the incident, local police officials launched a thorough investigation into the matter.

Both victims were immediately transported to Dr. Ravi Boro Civil Hospital in Mushalpur for medical attention.

However, despite the efforts of medical personnel, Ramani Baishya succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

Meanwhile, Rakesh Lahari, who sustained critical injuries, has been transferred to Nalbari Medical College Hospital for further treatment.

The incident has left the community in mourning and has sparked concerns about the safety and security of residents in the area.

The police are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
