Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi: Will be our last elections if….

Guwahati, 24th April: In the fervor of election season, Congress MP candidates Gaurav Gogoi and Rakibul Hussain have been actively rallying support for their party’s candidates ahead of the Lok Sabha by-elections. Gaurav Gogoi, while campaigning for party candidate Hafiz Rashid Choudhary in Karimganj, delivered a passionate address, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming polls.

Gogoi struck a somber note, suggesting that this election could potentially be the last of his life if the political landscape remains unchanged. He underscored the importance of safeguarding democracy through active participation in the electoral process. Reflecting on his father, the late Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Gaurav Gogoi highlighted his father’s statesmanship and integrity, distancing him from allegations of involvement in syndicates or corruption.

Directing his criticism towards AIUDF, Gogoi urged voters not to support political entities aligned with BJP or Chief Minister Sarma. He called upon voters to channel their votes wisely, avoiding wastage on parties with conflicting interests.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Candidate Rakibul Hussain, in a separate rally held in Karimganj, emphasized the crucial role of Hafiz Rashid Choudhary in bridging the gap between Barak and Brahmaputra. Hussain raised concerns over BJP’s developmental efforts and criticized the delimitation process for allegedly infringing upon political rights.

Expressing dissatisfaction with BJP’s performance, Hussain urged voters to support Hafiz Rashid Choudhary in the upcoming by-election. He vowed to challenge the MLA’s post through legal means and questioned the involvement of Himanta Biswa Sarma in the electoral process.

As the election fervor intensifies, Congress candidates continue to make their case to voters, rallying support for their party’s vision and candidates in the impending by-elections.
