Guwahati: The crime against women has increased as the state’s government cracks down on child marriage despite numerous attempts. The number of sexual assault and molestation instances reported is consistently high.
An uncle-in-law (the spouse’s uncle) is accused of trying to rape his own niece-in-law while his nephew was out of the country on business.
The incident took place at Kadamani Pathar village under Batadrava police station in Assam’s Nagaon district on Thursday.
It’s interesting that the woman used a sharp blade to cut off her uncle-in-genitalia laws before calling for assistance.
The notorious uncle-in-law identified as Nur Hussain suffered severe injuries to his private part who is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Guwahati.
The victim has filed a FIR with the Batadrava police station in connection with the incident.
Also, it is learned that Nur Hussain belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Nagaon district branch.
