Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha Resigned at 11 am Today
Guwahati: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed his resignation letter to State Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya on March 3 at 11 a.m..
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) retain its power in Tripura by gaining 32 seats.
On the other side, the CPI(M) won 11 seats while the Tipra Motha Party headed by royal scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma won 13.
Though the election results shocked the 60-member Congress because they only managed to win three seats.
On February 16, Tripura held elections in which roughly 89.98% of eligible voters participated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the BJP’s victory in Tripura and thanked the state’s residents for supporting the saffron party.
“Thank you, Tripura! This is a vote for progress and stability. BJP Tripura will continue to boost the state’s growth trajectory. I am proud of all Tripura BJP Karyakartas for their spectacular efforts at the grassroots,” PM Modi tweeted.
