Assam’s Barpeta District Gears Up for Republic Day Celebrations
Assam: Assam’s Barpeta district administration held a comprehensive meeting on January 10 to finalize preparations for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. The meeting was presided over by Additional District Commissioners (ADCs) Jayanta Bora and Kaustav Kalita, and attended by circle officers, assistant commissioners, and heads of various departments.
During the meeting, each department was assigned specific responsibilities to ensure the smooth execution of the programmes. Designated officers-in-charge were appointed to oversee individual activities, focusing on logistics, security arrangements, cultural programmes, and public participation. The discussions emphasized the importance of proper coordination among all stakeholders to avoid last-minute issues.
ADC Jayanta Bora described the meeting as productive and urged all departments to work collectively to make the celebrations a success. The goal is to ensure that the event resonates with the community and honours the nation. With the preparations underway, Barpeta district is gearing up to celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotism.
