BSF Jawan Found Dead Inside Bus During Lok Sabha Election Duty in Tripura

Northeast Desk, 25th April: A 27-year-old BSF jawan, identified as Raksa Nargis Keshav (27), deployed for Lok Sabha election duty in Tripura’s East Parliamentary Constituency, was found dead inside a bus while returning to a temporary camp set up for the security forces at Kanchanpur under North District.

The incident occurred late at night as the BSF personnel were returning to the temporary camp. It is unclear whether it was a case of suicide or an accidental death, but the jawan’s rifle was unlocked, and his body was discovered inside the bus.

Raksa Nargis Keshav, hailing from Latur, Maharashtra, was from the 199th battalion of BSF in Panisagar, North Tripura. The deceased’s body is currently in the mortuary at the Kanchanpur sub-division hospital, awaiting post-mortem scheduled for Thursday. An investigation into the incident has been launched to determine the cause of death.
