Guwahati: HM Amit Shah to Inuagurate Several Projects
Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will review the India-Bangladesh border on Monday at around 10.30 am at Mankachar in Assam. He’ll take part in a meeting with the Border Security Force (BSF).
On the one-year anniversary of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP administration in Assam, Shah arrived at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Sunday night for a two-day visit to inaugurate and launch multiple projects.
In the evening, Shah will dedicate the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital’s (GMCH) super-specialty hospital.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah will give Assam Police with the President’s Colour award on May 10 in Guwahati for their outstanding service over the last 25 years.
The greatest honour bestowed upon any military or police unit is the President’s Colour, a unique flag, in appreciation of exemplary service done to the nation in both peace and conflict.
Assam Police has planned a variety of events to mark the anniversary, including a ‘Ride of Pride rally,’ in which eight state police motorbikes would ride through 27 districts to inform people about the honour.
It may be mentioned that on May 10, Shah will attend a party meeting at Sankardev Kalashetra, where he would announce many Guwahati projects.
