Junmoni Rabha Death: CBI Continues Investigation into Suspicious Death of SI

Guwahati, 14th September: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), tasked with investigating the suspicious death of Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, is still actively pursuing the case. The SI was found dead following an accident on National Highway 37 at Sarubhogia near Kaliabor in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The CBI team recently reached the accident site to re-examine the events leading up to Junmoni Rabha’s death. This ongoing investigation follows a series of developments in the case.

In a previous update, the Controversial Superintendent of Police (SP) Leena Doley was under the CBI’s scrutiny in July. The CBI interrogated Hailakandi SP Doley in connection with the death of former Morikolong SI Junmoni Rabha. The investigation included questioning various individuals involved in the case and those associated with smuggling activities, including fake gold and counterfeit Indian currency notes (FICN).

The CBI’s commitment to examining all aspects of the case is indicative of its determination to uncover the truth behind the SI’s suspicious death.
