Mizoram: IRB Personnel dies During MP Election Duty

Northeast Desk, 19th April: In a tragic turn of events, Lalrinpuia (28), a personnel from the Second Battalion of the Indian Reserve Battalion deployed for the 2024 MP Election duty in Mizoram, passed away in his sleep.

Lalrinpuia, hailing from Kawlkulh village in Khawzawl District, was stationed at Vangchhia Primary School for election duties. The heartbreaking incident unfolded at 5 a.m. when his colleagues attempted to wake him, only to discover him deceased in his bed.

The sudden demise of Lalrinpuia has deeply impacted both the election administration and the local community. Initial reports suggest no prior indications of any health issues or concerns regarding Lalrinpuia’s well-being.

Authorities have launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding Lalrinpuia’s untimely death, striving to unravel the cause of his sudden passing.
