New Accusation in Assam’s Bajali Corruption Case, Additional Interrogations Underway

Guwahati, 12th September: In a significant development in the Bajali corruption case in Assam, another individual, Hrishikesh Das, has been accused of involvement in the incident. Das has been summoned by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Assam and is currently undergoing interrogation at its headquarters in Guwahati.

In addition, a team from the Assam CID, accompanied by Bajali SP Siddhartha Buragohain, supari businessman Rabiul Islam, and two more accused individuals, arrived at the Directorate of Forensic Science in Kahilipara, Guwahati. The CID team is set to conduct separate voice tests for Siddhartha Buragohain and Rabiul Islam, followed by presenting their findings in court.

On Monday, the CID team discovered a MacBook during a thorough search at the residence of Kishore Baruah, an individual linked to the case. Allegations suggest that SP Siddhartha Buragohain had demanded two MacBooks from supari businessman Rabiul Islam.
