New Projects to Initiate in Dibrugarh District Worth Rs 936.47 Cr by Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanata Biswa Sarma will lay the foundation stone and dedicate a number of projects totaling Rs 936.47 crore in the Dibrugarh district of the state on December 24,

”In continuation of the “Development Fortnight” initiated by the Assam Government led by the Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, foundation stones and inauguration of projects worth Rs 963.47 crore will be done in Dibrugarh on December, 24,” BJP spokesperson Subhash Dutta said while addressing a press conference.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finished different arrangements to welcome the Chief Minister for the events to be held in the Dibrugarh district, the statement continued.

It is important to note that the Assam government has been concentrating on the development of the state’s infrastructure, and the Chief Minister has made a number of announcements in this regard.

A recent cabinet meeting approved building a 1.5 kilometre flyover in Jorhat connecting Baruah Chariali and Bhogdoi Bridge.

Due to the massive traffic jam experienced by commuters from Baruah Chariali to Bhogdoi Bridge point, hence the cabinet has decided to construct a flyover,” Sarma informed after the cabinet meeting.

In addition, the cabinet approved the provision of street lighting and the funding of Rs 100 crore for Primary Health Care (PHC) to address the drinking water shortage in Jorhat.
