Ola-Uber Cab Discontinue Service in Guwahati From Today

Guwahati: The Ola-Uber taxi service in Guwahati will be discontinued from today. Both the All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangha and the All Guwahati Bike Taxi Operator Union decided this.

The Ola-Uber cab service currently has over 18,000 vehicles on the road, according to the group. Notably, the company’s abuse of cab drivers was a factor in the decision.

The city’s Rapido bike service will also be shut down, according to the union representing bike taxi drivers. Additionally, the drivers requested that the government release a new app for their services.

The vehicles registered under Ola-Uber are currently accessible via the regional app AN2 Cabs which will be available from today.

Since they have been taking advantage of by Ola-Uber for a long time, the cab drivers have chosen to stop using the service.
