PM Modi to review COVID situation

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a a cabinet level special meeting on Wednesday to review the current Covid situation in the country.
It has been said that this meeting will also review the activities of some government departments and ministers.

Earlier, the Prime Minister held separate discussions with cabinet and state ministers on the accounts of his respective ministries or departments and the expertise of ministers. BJP national president JP Nadda was also present in all the meeting that were held.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to expand his cabinet at the meeting which has already been discussed in political circles. The cabinet is likely to see the re-place of former Assam Chief Minister and former Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal from Assam as he resigned as chief minister and handed over the charge to Himanta Biswa Sarma as the next chief minister of the state in the BJP government which came to power for the second time in Assam.
