National Desk, 12th February: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reignited discussions on social justice and inclusivity as he resumed his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Korba, Chhattisgarh. Addressing a public gathering, Gandhi criticized the guest list at the inauguration of the Ram Temple, pointing out the absence of representation from marginalized sections of society.
“During Ram Temple’s inauguration, I saw Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Adani, Ambani, and all businessmen attending the event but I didn’t notice any poor, farmer, labourer, unemployed, or ‘chai wala’ among them,” remarked Gandhi, highlighting the disparity in representation at significant national events.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, aimed at promoting unity and justice across India, serves as a platform for Gandhi to advocate for the rights of the underprivileged. As the journey resumes from Korba, Chhattisgarh, Gandhi’s message resonates with those seeking greater inclusivity and representation in national discourse.
Preparations are underway to amplify the impact of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, with plans to turn the upcoming leg in Kashi into a mega event. UP Congress chief Ajay Rai is actively mobilizing party cadres and organizational wings to ensure the success of the yatra.
Gandhi also emphasized the importance of conducting a caste census in the country. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting the issue, attributing it to Modi’s non-OBC background.
“Modi is not an OBC and he will never work for OBC, backwards and poor. This is the truth. And I have made up my mind that caste census is the next biggest step towards social justice and I will do it. I am not going to let go,” declared Gandhi.
