Shillong: A doctor from Shillong who was said to be suffering from depression allegedly committed suicide on Thursday.
As per reports, the doctor identified as Dr D Najiar killed herself at her residence in Pohkseh, Shillong.
She was a pediatrician and was working at a Children’s Hospital. She was reported to be depressed over reasons best known to her. Her body was found after some of her colleagues went to her residence as she was not present for her duties.
The persons who visited her house found her to be hanging from the ceiling. However, based on the primary investigation the police have claimed that there are no angles of any sort of murder or other foul play. As per the primary reports, the case has been termed to be a suicide.
