Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Pledges Continued Service and Empowerment Ahead of State Assembly Elections

Northeast Desk, 15th April: Addressing a rally in Jorethang, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) President and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang reaffirmed his party’s commitment to serving the people of Sikkim as the 2024 State Assembly elections approach. Tamang rallied supporters, emphasizing his administration’s achievements and promising further development and empowerment for the state.

Tamang highlighted the pivotal role of women in Sikkim’s progress, citing efforts in women empowerment, including job regularization. He attributed these accomplishments to collective support and party principles.

Acknowledging challenges faced by some citizens, Tamang expressed empathy, pledging his government’s dedication to their welfare and vowing never to betray the people’s trust.

Asserting SKM’s dominance in the upcoming polls, Tamang claimed overwhelming support from Sikkimese, predicting a landslide victory.

He stressed the significance of the elections, emphasizing the role of ballot and government employee votes in determining Sikkim’s future governance. Tamang expressed confidence in SKM’s ability to secure a majority, citing past achievements and welfare initiatives.

Expressing gratitude to Sikkimese women for their support, Tamang appealed for continued trust in SKM, promising to prioritize marginalized and underserved communities.

Looking forward, Tamang assured readiness for SKM’s second term, emphasizing ongoing initiatives in healthcare, education, and youth empowerment. He criticized the Sikkim Democratic Front’s rule, portraying it as a period of stagnation for the state.
