Entertainment Desk, 25th March: Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu exchanged vows with her long-term beau, badminton player Mathias Boe, in an intimate wedding ceremony held on March 23. The nuptials, attended by close friends and family, took place in the picturesque city of Udaipur.
Among the few celebrities gracing the occasion were filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, screenwriter Kanika Dhillon, and comedian-actor Abhilash Thapiyal. Taapsee’s ‘Thappad’ co-actor Pavail Gulati shared a candid moment from the festivities, captioning it with playful words, “Twinkle twinkle little star, we have no idea where we are! (sic).”
While Taapsee and Mathias have kept their relationship private over the years, their bond has endured for more than a decade. The couple’s romance blossomed after they first crossed paths at the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013.
Reports had earlier hinted at a Sikh-Christian fusion wedding, with pre-wedding festivities commencing on March 20 leading up to the grand celebration on March 23.
Close friend and collaborator Kanika Dhillon, accompanied by her husband Himanshu Sharma, graced the occasion, adding to the joyous affair. The duo has worked closely with Taapsee on several projects, including ‘Haseen Dillruba’ and ‘Manmarziyaan’.
Following the wedding, Taapsee is expected to host a reception in Mumbai for friends and colleagues from the industry, with details of the event anticipated to be announced soon.
As the newlyweds embark on this new chapter of their lives, Taapsee remains committed to her professional endeavors, with upcoming projects including ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Woh Ladki Hai Khaan’, and ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Her latest appearance was in director Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’, alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
