The Parliamentary Committee Summons “TWITTER”

After a fresh tussle with the Centre over new IT rules, the Parliamentary Committee for Information and Technology has summoned “TWITTER” on June 18 at 4 pm. The Committee has called “twitter” to appear before the panel in the Parliamentary Complex, to give representation on how to prevent misuse of social media.

From the Panel one of the member told the wire agency that the committee intends to discover the reasons prohibiting Twitter from adequately complying with the country’s new IT rules.

The Jack-Dorsey company has publicly assured the Central government that it is making the necessary efforts to adhere to the new guidelines.
