Tripura Congress Leader Demands Action Against BJP VP for Alleged Sabotage of Priyanka Gandhi’s Roadshow

Northeast Desk, 16th April: Former Minister and Tripura Congress Legislator Sudip Roy Barman has penned a letter to the Returning Officer of West Parliamentary Constituency, urging action against BJP vice president Papiya Datta and others for allegedly obstructing preparations for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s upcoming roadshow in Agartala.

In the letter addressed to RO Dr. Vishal Kumar, Barman alleges that on April 15, Congress workers had placed flags in anticipation of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s roadshow, but Datta and others intentionally removed them, disrupting event preparations.

Barman further accuses Datta of employing coercive tactics, including pressuring Congress workers to join BJP, and calls for the investigation and potential closure of the BJP party office allegedly orchestrating these activities.

Demanding the immediate reinstatement of unlawfully removed INC flags and prompt action against those involved, Barman urges the RO to provide updates on measures taken in response to the complaint.
