Guwahati: Two suspected drug peddlers have been arrested by Assam Police in Nagaon district on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Rangagora gaon of Samaguri village.
The arrestees have been identified as Arish Khan and Sonis Khan. Both of them are the residents of Imphal East district of Manipur.
According to reports, police personnel intercepted a vehicle and while in search they recovered 1 lakh of YABA tablets and cash amounting Rs 12,000 from their possession.
The police officials informed that the market worth of the seized drugs is said to be around Rs 5 crores.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
