Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Arrive in Arunachal Pradesh Today

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Arunachal Pradesh to begin a two-day visit to the state on Monday.

Amit Shah is expected to attend a number of events  in Kibithoo village which is close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

He will launch the “Vibrant Villages Programme” (VVP) at Kibithoo which is sponsored by the government.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, “To stress the Centre’s concern for the development of border areas, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Kibithu in Anjaw district on April 10 and 11 where he will be launching the VVP.”

Home Minister will also launch initiatives to improve infrastructure at Likabali, Chapra (Bihar), Nooranad (Kerala) and Vishakapatnam(Andhra Pradesh). He will also hold discussions with senior members of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Amit Shah will land in Dibrugarh today and then immediately depart for Arunachal Pradesh.

He will attend a BJP party function on Tuesday and lay the foundation stone for a regional BJP office during a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh.

Notably, this will be Shah’s first visit to the state after China recently renamed 11 places in the state.
