Guwahati: A 4.7-magnitude earthquake shook the Champhai district of Mizoram on Monday at around 6.16 am.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred 151 kilometres east-southeast of Champhai, Mizoram at a depth of 10 km.
The neighbouring states of Assam and Nagaland also felt the tremors.
National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.7, Occurred on 10-04-2023, 06:16:40 IST, Lat: 23.16 & Long: 94.78, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 151km ESE of Champhai, Mizoram.”
