Youth in Meghalaya Educated on Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications

Shillong: An awareness programme on artificial intelligence (AI) was recently held at Borang Resort, Chimite, Nogorpara, under the Zikzak C&RD Block, South West Garo Hills in Meghalaya.

The event aimed to educate youth on the integration of AI into academics and its applications in various fields such as tourism, agriculture, and ecology.

The programme emphasized the importance of ethical and social responsibilities while exploring the potential of AI. Rev Paramsingh M Sangma, Pastor of Nogorpara Baptist Church, served as the resource person, offering valuable insights into AI’s transformative potential for young learners. Mawsell D Marak, Assistant Pastor of Rochonpara Baptist Church, moderated the session.

The event, organized by the Youth Ministry of Rochonpara Baptist Church, engaged 30 participants, aged 15 to 30, from the Singimari area. The discussions focused on how AI can improve academic practices and support sustainable development efforts. The programme aimed to inspire young minds to explore the possibilities of AI and its applications in various fields.
