Assam police held father-son duo with drugs in Rangia

Guwahati, 17th February: In a significant breakthrough, the Rangia police apprehended a father-son duo involved in the illicit drug trade in Balagaon, Rangia. The individuals, identified as Ishaq Ali and Aslam Hussain, were taken into custody following a raid that resulted in the seizure of 22.39 grams of heroin and two soapboxes.

The operation, led by vigilant Rangia police, targeted the residence of Jehrul Ali in Balagaon. In addition to the substantial drug haul, authorities confiscated a significant amount of cash totaling Rs 3,65,500 from the premises.

This raid is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region. The successful seizure of drugs and the apprehension of the father-son duo represent a significant victory in the fight against narcotics.
