Assam: Six Arrested in Connection with Assault on Police Officers in Gauripur

Guwahati, 3rd April: In a significant breakthrough, authorities have apprehended six individuals linked to the assault on policemen on duty in Gauripur. The incident, which unfolded on Monday, involved a group of miscreants chasing law enforcement personnel following a road accident on National Highway 17 in the Gauripur Geramari Botertol area.

The main accused, Aiful Ali, along with three accomplices—Atak-Shahat Ali and Abdul Khaleque—were captured today in coordinated raids. This development follows the earlier arrest of three individuals—Laden Ali, Abdul Siddique, and Moinul Haque—during a police operation on Tuesday.

All six suspects were presented before the court today, where they were remanded to judicial custody. These arrests signify significant progress in the ongoing investigation into the audacious attack on police officers diligently carrying out their duties.
