BJP Assigns Dilip Ghosh to Lead Membership Drive Across Tripura’s Five Districts
Northeast Desk, 16th September: Senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has been appointed to oversee the party’s membership drive across five key districts in Tripura. The drive, launched by Chief Minister Manik Saha, is aiming to significantly boost BJP’s membership before November.
Ghosh has been tasked with spearheading the campaign in Sadar (Rural), Khowai, Dhalai, Unakoti, and North Tripura. “Dilip Ghosh will oversee the ongoing membership drive and ensure its success across the state,” BJP Tripura general secretary Amit Rakshit confirmed.
According to Rakshit, the initiative has already gained momentum, with around 3.12 lakh people signing up out of the 7 lakh target. “The response has been especially strong in tribal areas,” Rakshit noted.
Chief Minister Saha launched the membership drive on September 3, which is set to continue for six weeks. Once complete, eligible active members will be selected to participate in the party’s organizational elections, with a new state committee expected to take charge in November.
